Study Abroad

Gaining an understanding of human behavior and the relationship to society can be enhanced by learning about different cultures and areas of the world. Just as social issues are different by region, so are the ways that individuals and groups interact. Sociology and Criminology, Law, and Justice majors are not required to study abroad in their time at the University of Iowa, but in order to gain a global perspective, there are some opportunities to learn and enhance understanding and perspectives. Students can choose to study in a variety of countries, based on individual interests.

Opportunities to study and learn internationally exist for all Iowa students. For more information please visit the University's study abroad website.
