I was born and raised in California, but my family is originally from Jalisco, Mexico! I am a proud first-generation college student and started my path to graduate school at my local community college. I completed my AA in Sociology at Chaffey College before transferring to Cal Poly Pomona where I earned my BA in Sociology in 2024. My research experience has focused primarily on non-traditional college students to understand how institutions of higher education can better support their unique needs. My broader research interests are higher education, racial inequality, immigration, and utilizing feminist methodologies. 

Outside of my studies, I enjoy cycling along the Iowa River, volunteering with local youth programs, and fiber arts.
