Biography
I obtained an MA in Sociology at Portland State University and wrote my thesis on how racial heterogeneity in adolescent friendship networks impacts mental health outcomes. I received my BA in Sociology and International Relations at Gonzaga University.
My primary research interests are network sociology and mental health. I am particularly interested in how “diverse bonds” form and impact our lives. My experiences living in cities and attending schools with varying degrees of diversity lead to my interest in this topic.
In my free time, I enjoy over-analyzing reality television shows, discovering new restaurants, and playing video/board games.
