In 2018 and 2019, I received my BS in Psychology and my BA in Sociology with a minor in LGBTQ+ studies from Louisiana State University. I then went on to get my MA in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. 

I am interested in all things related to racial inequality, but I have a special interest in how race and culture intersect. I’m currently working on my dissertation, which is examining how Black nerds navigate racialized and gendered barriers in nerd spaces while cultivating joy and community. When I am not doing research, I love to hula hoop dance, play board games, cook, and crochet.
