Ethan Rogers, Ph.D.
Ethan Rogers is the Research and Operations Manager at the University of Iowa Center for Social Science Innovation. He currently teaches “Iowa Criminal Justice Policy & Reform,” which introduces students to contemporary discussions of crime and criminal justice policy in Iowa.
Ethan’s research interests are in the areas of social psychology of conflict and violence, medical sociology, and population-level violence and injury surveillance. His recent research has appeared in Criminology, Social Science & Medicine, and the Journal of Health & Social Behavior. He is currently conducting a study on the demographic and geographic contours of homicide booms, including the recent increase since 2014. He also recently received funding to examine suicide among protective service workers.
