The European Studies Group at the University of Iowa coordinates research projects, lectures and panel discussions, and other events focusing on European issues.

Marina Zaloznaya is also an Associate Professor of Sociology and Political Science and a co-founder of the Corruption in The Global South Research Consortium (https://www.cgs.network). Her first book, The Politics of Bureaucratic Corruption in Post-Transitional Eastern Europe drew on ethnographic and comparative-historical analyses of corruption in Ukrainian and Belarusian universities.
